Geoff Dickinson, a Methodist preacher from Cheshire, is cycling from Land’s End to John O’Groats to raise funds for Englesea Brook Chapel and the Museum of Primitive Methodism, in Cheshire, as he approaches his 75th birthday. Remarkably, the challenge comes only months after Geoff underwent a hip replacement operation, leaving him ‘doubly bionic’ after surgery on both hips. Despite this, he returned to cycling within weeks and has already completed more than a thousand training miles this year. Joined by his wife Jane, who is fundraising separately for St Luke's Hospice, Geoff will travel through major cities and demanding terrain across Britain over three weeks. He hopes to raise at least £2,000 to support the museum’s work preserving Methodist heritage and sharing the story of the Primitive Methodists. Geoff said the challenge reflects both his passion for the ministry and his gratitude for renewed strength and health.
