After decades of emotional pain, crippling anxiety, and deep depression, 69-year-old Lynnie Nelson is courageously sharing how Jesus Christ restored her life. She described growing up in a cold, affectionless home where fear and insecurity shaped her childhood. Although she gave her life to Christ at the age of eleven after hearing evangelist Nicky Cruz speak, her adult years were marked by profound sorrow, including the heartbreaking loss of premature twin babies during her first year of marriage. Over the following decades, Lynnie battled anxiety and depression while clinging to Scripture and faithfully participating in prayer groups. Yet in her late sixties, after relocating to Oklahoma, her mental health collapsed further through panic attacks, hopelessness, and terrifying spiritual fears. Supported by her husband, family, and praying friends, she eventually experienced what she describes as God’s sovereign touch. Slowly, peace returned and the darkness lifted. Today, she serves in church recovery ministry and joyfully testifies that Jesus faithfully restored her hope, purpose, and identity after many years of suffering.
